NETWORK HELP PLEASE!!
Hello, We have multiple computers in the office and everyone can see each other on the network but myself. I have a vista computer, 4-5 are XP and 2-3 are Windows 7. We all share documents and most importantly quick books. Everyone accesses quick books off of one computer but Mine just seems to have fallen off the network with no hope of getting back on. Whats weird is that for almost a year now ever time I have logged into QB it says no company open and that it cannot locate the file (which is on the other computer accessed through the network) I usually just clicked connect 10 times and eventually it would find the file and I would be all set for the day. Unfortunately my luck has run out and I can no longer access my QB or do key parts of my job. Can someone please tell me how to fix this? I changed which group I'm in and I still can only see about 3 computers, I still can't access them though. HELP!!

Hi, Thank you for posting. I am sorry for the inconvenience. Based on your description, the issue may be related to the device drivers of the wireless chipsets and please remove and reinstall the driver. If possible, please install the latest version of the driver to see how it works. You can also remove all the network profiles in the Manager Wireless Networks and then search and connect the network again. If you use other utilities to manage the wireless connection, please also reinstall or update it. If the issue persists, please help collecting the following information for our further research: 1. Let’s run “CMD” and then “ipconfig /all” to export all the network settings and post the information to this thread. 2. Please check the event log. Is there any related error message? 3. Is the issue within Domain environment? Regards, Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.

Hello, I have no idea where I can update the wireless chipsets. Also I actually have a blue cord that runs from my computer to the "Network" so I don't think I am wireless. I did update my "network" driver though. (it did not help obviously) I also don't know what you mean by " remove all the network profiles in the Manager Wireless Networks and then search and connect the network again" Did you mean remove the internet? I am confused as I thought the network and internet thingie were separate. I can see 3 computers besides my own still. both 2 of which are windows 7, the other is a vista I think. When I try to double click one of the computers in the network it gives me the error that it cannot connect and then it asks me to make sure the spelling is correct! Enough tries clicking on the computer and then it works and asks for the other computers password. I just don't understand why it works sometimes and then not. Unfortunately I still cannot access the remainder of the computers, one being the one with quickbooks on it. Below I have pasted what I found when I ran "CMD" and then typed "ipconfig/all" I tried running that last part but that didn't exist. I hope what is pasted below is helpful. I'm not too technically savvy. I can't wait for your reply! I am looking forward to doing my job at my computer, the back up I have been using is a dinosaur and its BEYOND slow. THANK YOU!
