NCS2Prov Module stopped and has closed
I am getting an error NCS2Prov Module stopped and has closed when I plug a PDA device in to my USB port on my computer. I cannot find what file or driver is corrupt and no one seems to know what this is. I have narrowed it down to it being an Intel driver issue and may be in connection with my wireless router. It was suggested that I allow 'Use windows to manage my wireless network' but I do not know where to enable this process or if that will even work Can someone please help?LJ

Hi, Thanks for posting in Microsoft TechNet Forum. Yes, you are right. NCS2Prov belongs to Intel(R) PROSet for Windows Device Manager from Intel(R) Corporation. I am wondering if this issue occurs while you plug other USB devices to this USB port. Do you try to plug in another USB port? Since this issue occurs while you plug in the PDA device, this issue is mainly due to confilicts between PDA device and wireless driver. Thus I suggest that you perform the following methods in advance. 1. Disable the wireless network and wired connect to network to see if the issue occurs while you plug the PDA device. If the issue doesn't occur, please continue the step. Otherwise, please perform a Clean Boot to identify the exact cause. 2. Enable windows wireless network configuration automatically. 1) Open the Command Prompt window by clicking the Start button , clicking All Programs, clicking Accessories, and then clicking Command Prompt. 2) Type: netsh wlan show settings If automatic wireless network configuration is disabled, you will see Auto configuration logic is disabled on interface "Interface name". 3) To enable auto configuration, type: set autoconfig enabled=yes interface="<Interface name>" For references: Use Windows to configure wireless network settings on a client computer http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc780845(WS.10).aspx Hope this helps. Thanks.
