NAS: Can't Access Linksys NAS200 From Vista Home Premium
Hi,Just set up a NAS200 and having problem accessing it via my Vista PC though I used the 'Share Folder Mapping' utility that comes with the NAS installation CD.When I search my 'Network', I do see the NAS drive but upon double-clicking, it launches a new explorer window with 'My Documents' of my local PC instead of the shared drive content.I have no problem accessing the NAS from my XPs.Checked with Linksys Tech Support, suggested I use 'secpol.msc' to change the LAN Manager authentication level to 'send LM & NTLM - use NTLM2 session security if negotiated'. When noticed Vista Home Premium does not come with such function, suggest I contact MS.Searched Technet and noticed several discussion and process to edit registry to modify the LSA setting from 3 to 1. Tried that but still not successful.Tried some keyword search around TechNet and other forums but the above seems to be the most popular way to resolve this problem.Any advice will be much appreciated! Thanx in advance!Regards,HS

Don't access the NAS from the Network, I use instead the direct connection, in a window, not from IE, from My PC for example put the IP of your NAS (\\192.168.1.115 for example) and this will display the autentification windows, the insert you username and password and you will see the HDD that you have in it. Hope this works for you as it did for me. P. S. If you do not know you NAS IP you can look for it on your DHCP client list of your router or gateway.
