My xbox and family computer will connect to the internet and load things quickly, but my laptop is working at a snails pace.
Like the title says, my laptop is struggling to connect to the internet, at an average rate of 2 kb/s. I'm not sure at what reate the family computer and xbox are working at, but I am sure that it is much faster than my personal computer. Often, I'll have to reload pages several times so that they will load completely or even load at all.

Hi, Before going further, please let me know your computer model and I will help you check the compatibility. In addition, I would like to confirm if the laptop uses the wireless or wired connection? If it uses wireless, please change to wired for testing. Please also download and install the network adapter from the computer manufacturer's website. In addition, you can check the incorrect proxy settings and do a Clean Boot. Meanwhile, the malware can affect the connection speed. I suggest downloading Microsoft Security Essentials by other computers and then install on this laptop to scan the malware. Regards, SimidaPlease remember to click "Mark as Answer" on the post that helps you, and to click "Unmark as Answer" if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
