My windows XP is a few years old with three users. It has become increasingly slow at start up and downloads slow at times.
When starting up my windows XP it seems to take forever anymore. I sometimes lose my web connection which is broadband. When I am surfing the web it sometimes takes longer than usual to connect to a site. If I leave my computer for a short while it seems to freeze or not respond for some time. I have run disk clean and defrag. I also have Windows Live 1 Care. I use Spybot search and destroy and also Ad-Aware for cleaning and protection. The memory has plenty of room.1 person needs an answerI do too

Only one thought, perhaps the Motherboard needs a new battery. (I'm not into hardware so excuse my simple terminology).I say this as a neighbour'sHP once had similar problems and after several months of investigations etc including the replacement of a hard drive, a new battery on the motherboard seemed to have fixed the problem.TaurArian [MVP] 2005-2010 - Update Services
