My system registry settings (Both Power Options and Sound Schemes [perhaps others?]) seem to be arbitrarily resetting themselves. Is anyone else seeing this? I'm running XP Home SP2. This is a recent rebuild on a fresh drive after a catastrophic hard drive failure. I've directly edited the registry. Even going so far as removing the other options. It isn't just "resetting" to some default option, it's actually changing the "monitor off after" setting in MY saved setting names.The sound settings change back almost immediately to the system default. The power options seem to change in a more random fashion (always to turn off monitor after 20 minutes.) I've checked to see if there is a bios setting that might effect it, but find none. Any help would be greatly appreciated.1 person needs an answerI do too
