My security keeps shutting down!
My anti-virus program keeps shutting off. I suspected I may have a virus, so I ran a deep scan, cleaner, blah, blah, and my anti-virus keeps shutting itself off. What is my next step? Iwas using Avast free virus protection, and Malwarebytes, but neither one found anything "suspicious" or virus. I uninstalled Avast, and loaded Microsoft Security Essentials, did a FULL scan and it found 5 threats. I removed the threats, but my anti-virus keeps shutting itself off. any ideas? 1 person needs an answerI do too

It might be Virus inside your system or Another service interfering and cause this issue. Have you done full scan in safemode?Try to update MSE and update Windows and make sure Windows Firewall is on.Restart your PC and press F8 ke repeatedly and boot in safemode and run full system scan.If still same issue contact support:https://support.microsoftsecurityessentials.com/And chose:I think my computer is infected.

When your computer is infected any program or installed software can also be infected.Specifically, what did MSE find ?Suggest you first follow Cyber_Defend_Team's advice. Here are the instructions for booting to Safe Mode and an explanation of the options that the boot menu will show A description of the Safe Mode Boot options in Windows XP Also, suggest you attempt to update MSE in Safe Mode with Networking so as to somewhat limit the malware's ability to run.If the task appears to be too much to handle, then, using Internet Explorer, try having the system scanned in Safe Mode with Networking by theLiveOne Care Protection scanner. That's what Microsoft will request that you do when you use the " I think my computer is infected " link.MowGreen Windows Expert IT Pro - Consumer Security
