My pc freez
This my first time in the forum.Sory for my bud inglish--------------------------------------------------My Computer is:Motherboard gigabyte EP45T-UD3RIntel 8400 Graphic 8500 GT5 disks 500 Gb SATA (raid 1.0) (under XP)1 Disk 320 Gb ATA (with windows 7)2 external disks (USB)2 DVD's RW (1 ATA, 1 SATA)2 Printers: HP office Jet 7590 working in lan HP F370 by USB1 external card reader1 net cameraTHIS computer works 24/24.--------------------------------------------------I've iet 3 more computers 1 with Linux, 2 protabels working with wireless(1 vista ultimate 1 XP prof).I've solved all the problems with the Windows 7, compatiblities, lan etc.But i've a problem that i c'ant explein, wen i'm working normaly and i decide, to do a restart or a shut down, the computer do it normaly, but if i stop work in them for more than two hours, the computer shut donw normaly,but if i trye to do a restart, it freez for all. nothing to do after the order.It's this problem related or upened with any other people.

Bernas - It would seem you're not alone. Other people with an Nvidia 8500 GT GPU chipset have posted issues with freezing as well. It might help if you went to Nvidia's web site and downloaded the latest video drivers depending on your version of Windows 7: Windows 7 32-bit Windows 7 64-bit Let us know if this solves your problem.

Tanks four your answer.Many sorry but I fogot to say that my graphic is asus , but i've another nvidea, for gigabyte, the 8400 gs, and ive tryed and experiment the same problem. I've try 3 kinds of drivers for the two and is the same.I try to change the memories. at this time i'm using 4 Gb (2+2) from kingston, but i've tryed the OCS and nmothing have change.At this moment i'm wating a unsuer from Gigabyte.I've tell thems the problemAnd it's not a realy problem for me, i've only to shut down and start againif it's necessary, only i'ts strangeOther information this upened only with de windows7 32-bit, i've tryed the 64-bit, and all run well and i've pass all the problems.Many thanksBernas

Bernas - The chip you mentioned - the 8500 GT- sounds like an Nvidia chip even though the card itself is made by Asus. Many manufacturers - including Asus - make video cards using chip sets from Nvidia or AMD/ATI. In this day and age, it's likely to be either one of those. But it seems like a moot point - you say you've swapped out the video card and it still does the same thing. You say you've also swapped out RAM as well. Have you looked in the Event Viewer to see if there is any information in there that might be of help? There may be indications of something crashing and bombing out just before it freezes up on you.
