It keeps trying but all it says is error and that it cannot be installed?

Go to Control Panel >> Program & Features >>View Install Updates >> Find KB2871389 & uninstall it

Reboot your Laptop >> login your account>> settings >> change pc setting

Then go for Windows update >> wait for updates >> find  (KB2871389) >> click on link for update >> Install Now

Log in on an admin account >> store >> choose 8.1 for update
