Copy another disk.Since the product key is not related to the installation disk, any installation disk that is the same edition as your damaged one will work fine. Just be sure to use your own product key when the installer asks for a PK. Your product key is your license, not your disk. You may borrow and copy a friend's original for this pupose since the license (EULA) allows you one backup copy legally. Just be sure that the disk you borrow is Professional. There is no difference between Upgrade and regular disks either. The product key determines which installation routine is used. The disks themselves are the same. You can copy the disk from an Upgrade box and use it with a full edition PK.A repair installation requires the service pack of the disk to match the installed service pack but there are procedures for making a new and up to date disk if you need to that. Basically, just make a copy from whatever original you can find and go from there.Colin Barnhorst
