My computer won't shut down normally and the computer reboots itself randomly also. How can i fix this?
My computer won't shut down normally, when i press the start, turn off shut down, the shut down commences and then the blue screen which appears saying windows is shutting down remains for hours. The only way i have been able to turn off my computer is by pressing and holding the power button on my computer for 10 seconds. Also it seems that randomly the computer reboots itself and a message comes up once the computer has been rebooted saying microsoft has a recovered from a serious error. It seems these files are to blame but when i try to delete them they disappear! How can i fix these problems. 1 person needs an answerI do too

The cause could be software or hardware. There is no way to tell which from your post. You can try troubleshooting this yourself by starting with the basics: The First Question Of Troubleshooting: If the problem is new, what changed between the time things worked and the time they didn't? The Second Question of Windows Troubleshooting: what is the malware/virus status of the machine? If you think it is clean, what programs (and versions) did you use to determine this? Be sure the computer is clean: http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Hardware_Tshoot If you can't do the work yourself (and there is no shame in admitting this isn't your cup of tea), take the machine to a professional computer repair shop (not your local equivalent of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad). If possible, have all your data backed up before you take the machine into a shop. MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!
