My computer keeps restarting after blue screen
Dear allI have recentley been experiancing a problem with my laptop. I have a HP pavillion 1000dv which for the last 2 years has never had a problem.Awhile ago Norton showed my computer was being attacked and asked if I wanted to remove a Trojan virus which I did. Upon turning on my computer the next day it kept going to a blue screen after the windows page with writing on which lasted for 1/2 a second. I have tried starting in safe mode and etc etc but it still is going round in circles and will not stop unless the power is turned off. Can anyone offer any advice as I can not afford a major repair or a new computer at this time HELP PLEASE.....1 person needs an answerI do too

When you press F8 to get to the menu screen for Safe Mode, arrow down to the line that says 'Disable automatic restart on errors.' Then press Enter. When the BSOD comes up, it should stay there. Write down all the pertinent error information (or take a digital picture if you can get one sharp enough to read) and post that here. Then people will know what you're dealing with, and may be able to help.SC Tom-There's no such thing as TMI when asking for tech support.

Here is a sample BSOD blue screen of death showing information you need to provide:http://techrepublic.com.com/i/tr/downloads/images/bsod_a.jpgSend the information pointed to with the red arrows (usually 3-4 lines total). Send the entire *** STOP message line since there are clues in the 4 parameters.Skip the boring text unless it looks important to you. We know what a BSOD looks like, we need to know the other information that is specific to your BSOD.Do you really think suggestions that begin with the words try, might or maybe are going to be helpful?I need YOUR votes and points for helpful replies and Propose as Answers.
