My computer is infected
I am getting browser changes and pop up ads. Microsoft Security Essentials will not update either. I am running windows xp sp3 and internet explorer v8. MSE detected and removed the infection, but something is still causing problems. has anyone ever used Trend Micros Hijack this . I hope someone can help . These are the problems MSE detected TrojanDownloader:J5/Renos Worm:Win32/Pushbot.gen!C Trojan:Win32/Oficla.V 1 person needs an answerI do too

Thank you for your help.. i looked at the aumha forum. It gave a list of instructions of things to do before posting . One of the things was to Enable -Show Hidden Files and Folders , to remove the check from the box - Hide Protected Operating System Files. I am a bit unsure at this point, my system is infected if i show protected operating system files will it allow the infection more access

Showing those files will not make your computer more vulnerable to the 'nasties'.Aumha is a good site with a good reputation and excellent malware experts, including many who frequent this site. They would not misguide you.
