My computer gives a low battery or critical battery level when restarting
I have a desktop PC, Dell running Windows XP. It's on surg protector, but not a battery backup, not sure if it's related, but it started running extremely slow before I installed updates and then restarted and got this error. Not sure which way to go to fix it.Kimberly

Hi dksalz, If the UPS is connected to the computer via a cable then you can have the UPS serviced and check if that helps. As a work around you may also try the below steps:a. Click Start; click Run, type PowerCfg.cpl, and then click OK.b. Click the Alarms tab.c. Uncheck both the options below Low battery and Critical battery alarm Regards:Samhrutha G S - Microsoft Support.Visit our Microsoft Answers Feedback Forum and let us know what you think.
