I am not so computer savy. I usually get automatic updates installed in my computer. I turned the laptop off last night and it showed I needed some updates, well I let it run the updates. It showed there were 13 updates, but it got stuck in number 7. I have turned it off by the off button twice, but it somes back to "DO NOT TURN OFF OR UNPLUG COMPUTER UNTIL UPDATES ARE INSTALLED" It shows 7 of 13 and it shows that it running, but doesn't ever finish installing nor does it let me get out of that manually. PLEASE HELP!

Hi, I suggest you try the following: 1. Boot into Clean Boot Mode and try updating again. 2. Run the Microsoft Fixit and see how it works. Fix the problem with Microsoft Windows Update that is not working 3. Try System Update Readiness tool by referring to What is the System Update Readiness Tool?. 4. A. I would return to previous restore point and try again the update process. Install important updates only. B. Look into history if process fails again and place here the KB numbers that make the problem. C. Do not install optional updates unless you are certain that it is necessary. D. Look into WindowsUpdate.log file and Event logs for more information. Rgds Milos
