My Sony Vaio wont connect to my wireless internet?
My computer got screwed up recently and I went to this repair place to fix it. When I got it back I couldn't detect my router. When I type ipconfig/all in the cmd I get this Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7600] Copyright (c) 2009 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved. Well it says that your media is disconnected. What kind of cable are you using? Straight-through or crossover? Is it a good cable?

Your wireless adapter isn't even showing up - check and make sure it's not disabled somewhere: If it has a hardware on/off switch make sure it's in the on position. If it has a software on/off switch (usually FN + a function key) make sure it's enabled. It probably won't have both, either one or the other. Check the Device Manager; if it's not showing up in the Device Manager it means it's either turned off or not installed. If it's showing in Device Manager but has a yellow triangle next to it it's either disabled or the driver isn't properly installed. Check your Network Connections and make sure it's enabled there as well. And finally, is it possible the repair place had to remove the wireless card itself in order to repair the system? If so, did they put it back in?
