My PC got hijacked from a website, been fighting bluescreens ever sense...
Long story short: Win 7, 64 bit, fully updated, running microsoft security essentials. I went to a website, explore got taken over and said something about a virus was detected and started doing a scan... I crtl-alt-deleted out and ended browser session... immediately afterwards I got a bluescreen.. 1st time ever for this system. I got several more in the following days... I ran anti-virus scans both installed on the machine and some online scanners. All came back clean. But I was getting persistent Blue screens. So in frustration, I re-installed Windows 7. Had some trouble intially but after the 3rd attempt I got a clean install ( I formatted both areas IE the small disk space aswell as the remaining harddrive volume) All seemed well till I got a blue screen again ( multi_irp_complete_request ) So thinking maybe still infected I downloaded and ran Sophos Anti-rootkit scanner. When I ran it in windows after a normal boot I got a blue screen everytime after about 80% complete scan this time error was ( memory_management )... I rebooted in safe mode and ran scan.. It found multiple files for cleaning.. about 10 of them and asked me to reboot to complete cleaning process. I rebooted... nothing happened... so I ran program and it stated I needed to reboot to complete cleaning process... I did... several times... it as if It doesnt see the reboot take place.. A side note: When microsoft esential security downloads an update It takes it twice everytime due to an error starting something about not being able to install update pending a restart..??? I select download a second time and it quickly finishes stating im updated... Any help appreciated... my poor gaming machine.... I will now web browse on my wifes pc... lol Again thanks in advance Bulletstopper2003@yahoo.com

Hi, First, to remove the virus, I suggest you upgrade the virus definition and scan the system via Security Essentials in Safe Mode in Networking. Since you have already reformatted the hard drive and reinstalled the system, the blue screen can also occur by hardware or driver area. To troubleshoot the issue, please also refer to the following steps. 1. . Boot the computer in Clean Boot for a test. 2. Temporarily disable all unnecessary hardware devices in Device Manager, such as Modem, sound card or external device. For detail steps, we can refer to the link below: Device Clean Boot If the issue persists, please upload the minidump file (%systemroot%\minidump) to SkyDrive ( www.skydrive.live.com ), then share the link to me. I will be glad to assist you to analysis the data. Thanks, Novak
