My Outlook 2007 account won't receive email from anyone using yahoo email.
I use Outlook 2007. Last week my Outlook email account shut down. The error message that was being sent back to folks that were trying to email me said, "Delivery failed... error code 552-5.2.2... over quota". So after learning about this error I deleted half the emails in my "sent" file and half the emails in the "delete" file. I mean, I dumped out ALOT of mail. Then, after waiting about two days (48 hrs) I was finally able to resume sending and receiving emails again, except for one small glitch. I can't receive any email from anyone who uses Yahoo email. They receive MY emails that I send to them, but even if they hit "reply" and try to send my email right back to me, they get a "Failed delivery error...over quote", almost instantaneously. Why is Outlook singling out Yahoo email and letting everyone else come through? Or is this something that needs to be cleared in yahoo? 1 person needs an answerI do too

The quota being exceeded isn't in Outlook (or even on your computer), and deleting messages from Outlook folders (Sent, Deleted Items, etc) won't help. The problem is that your mailbox on your E-mail server is too full. That can happen if you've configured your E-mail account in Outlook to leave messages on the server. The solution is to remove messages from your mailbox on your E-mail server. Steve,Thanks for your reply. However, I've checked my email internet settings and it shows, no check mark in the "LEAVE A COPY OF MESSAGES ON SERVER" box. Is there another window setting that I may have possibly enabled that is storing messages on the server?

That's the right setting, and I don't know of another one in Outlook. Can you access your E-mail account from the web? If so, log in and see what messages it shows. There might be messages in a Spam folder or some other folder that you can see in webmail but not in Outlook.Boulder Computer Maven Microsoft Most Valuable Professional

I just discovered that I am not receiving emails from people with yahoo email! However they never get any error message so they assume I did receive their email. My server, COX, can't see any problem on their end.. In fact the emails never make it to my webmail - so they have just got lost in space! Anyone know the fix?
