My Documents - Why some applications are saving their own directories there?
Hello! This question has been buging me for long time and now when Im applying Folder Redirection and Offline Files technology to Windows 7 workstations, some problems occures with applications which are for some reason saving its user data to My Documents, and not in AppData? It also confuses the usage of My Documents. In My Documents, I want to see only my documents, nothing else!

Hi, Please disable offline files to verify if the issue is related to it. Niki Han TechNet Community Support When using Folder Redirection, Offline files is enabled mandatory, you cannot disable it. At least, it seems like it... But still, my main question is not answered - why some applications are saving its data to My Documents instead of AppData? And is there any easy way to change it?
