My Computer Is SERIOUSLY Acting Up!
Okay I have not seen any problems similar to mine after hours of googling so I'm here to ask you guys for help. I have Windows 7 (64-bit) and recently my computer had an update. After I started up my computer after the update everything started going wrong. My sound isn't working though it clearly says I have a Sound Driver nstalled as well as a sound card (Realtek HD Audio). That's not it though. If I open up Control Panel it won't let me click most of the options in it. If i wanted to click "Uninstall a Program", for example, it wouldn't let me. When I mouse over an option it will underline it but if I click it nothing happens. Wait, there's more in the little Internet Connection Icon on the bottom left of my taskbar it shows I have no internet connection, though clearly I do. This is what ticked me off the most: The things that I CAN click in the control panel won't work. If I click on "View Installed Updates" it says I have no updates installed. Now, my computer is generally new but I have had plenty of updates installed. If I click on Windows Update and click "Check for updates" It says something about the "service is not running." Normally I would have just said, Forget it I'll just do a system restore. But my computer won't let me do that as well! If I try doing a system restore it gives me this error: "System Restore does not seem to be functioning correctly on this system. A Volume Shadow Copy Service component encountered an unexpected error. Check the Application event log for more information. (0x80042302)". Now this was my last resort, I was going to restore my computer to factory condition but guess what? Yep you guessed it, when I click on that under Advanced recovery methods nothing happens. Please, please, please help me solve this issue.

Is it possible for you to go into safe mode? If so you might be able to remove the last updates. I'd also download and run malwarebytes in safe mode.
Free Windows Admin Tool Kit Click here and download it now

Hi, Did these issues occurs in Safe Mode? You can try to restore in Win RE: Perform a system restore in WinRE 1) Restart PC 2) Press “F8” and select “Repair Your computer” 3) choose System Restore. If issue occurs, I’m afraid you need to repair your system with repair disk. Hope it helps.
