Music Folder Permmisions Problem :/
Hello, I have just recently formated my PC (a fresh new start) when i plug in my external hard drive, and i go to my music folder it says i need permmision for each music..? I edited my "Music Folder" and gave permissions to it, but the SONGS requires permmision, i'm sorry but i am not setting up 1500+ permmisons for each song x.x..., is there anyway to fix this, please help. My operating system: windows 7 64 bit Home Premium Yes it worked before but i never "formated" my pc before this is only happening because i formated it, is there any other faster way for me to give permmisions to all of my songs? ;s. Things I Tried: * Installed Windows Media Player ~ Didnt work * Disabled UAC ~ Didnt Work (I check the permmisions and all i got was some big huge number) with a red "?" *Installed Real Player, still nothing, it's none of the softwares it's just my music's have been attached somehow to my old name "Denii-PC", but when i freshly installed my PC i named it the same "Denii-PC", but it still didn't work :/, please is there any suggestions on what to do? thanks for your time. ~ Regards Denis

Hi, You may let all the 1500 songs inherit permissions from the parent. Do the steps below: 1. Locating the folder where you stored the songs. 2. Right-click the folder, click Properties, and then click the Security tab. 3. Click Advanced, then click Change Permissions. 4. Select Replace all child object permission with inheritable permissions from this object. 5. Click OK.Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
