Multiple Sync Partnerships Error
Hello. We are in the midst of a Windows 7 migration. We use a GPO to redirect the AppData(Roaming), Documents, Photos, and Favorites to a network location. Here are two fictional users that should help to explain the issue we are experiencing. · “Bob”: AD user, no admin rights on computer. Home directory is \\domain.net\home\users\bob\ · “Sandy”: AD user, local admin rights on computer. Home directory is \\domain.net\home\users\sandy\ Bob was logged into his profile on a Win 7 64-bit box. Sandy wanted to install some software for Bob. Sandy ran the software installer using his (admin) credentials. The software completed successfully. On the next reboot, Bob noticed a Sync Conflict. The Sync center was trying to sync Sandy’s home directory \\domain.net\home\users\sandy. Bob does not have access to this directory and consequently is receiving an access denied error. How can we reset the sync partnership so that only the files/folders in Bob’s home directory are synced?

This was "resolved" by reimaging the computer and deleting the user's AppData folder.

I know this is dragging up an old topic, but does anyone have an actual solution to this? We're seeing it on an increasing number of machines and re-imaging them all is not an option. We need to stop it happening.
