Multiple Protection Programs under Windows XP Professional
I run McAfee, with automatic update, and I check my logs regularly, block persistent (and illegal) Source IPs as well as report the instances to the legalnetwork owner at the appropriate email and attempt to "educate" my McAfee by clicking the link to "tell" it, which takes me to Hacker Watch, where I try to provide any information that I have about a program that is in their gray area (hoping that all this is helping maintain the net's security as well as my own?).I also run Windows Live One Care Scanner weekly. I have Windows Defender installed also and am wondering if I really need it as it takes up much needed hard drivespace (I almost have the money for a new PC - yeah) and has to have new definitions manually downloaded prior to scans. I am disabled and run my life from computer so am a bit paranoid. Is there anything else I should be running and can I safely delete Defender?1 person needs an answerI do too

Hi Linda, Yeah there is nothing to worry inuninstallingWindows Defender. In my opinion you should use Microsoft Security Essentails with the Macafeein spiteof using Live Care and Defender. MSE is the best even you can use it as primary Antivirus.www.beingpc.com
