Multiple OSs in Home Network
I have Windows 7 Home (just recently upgraded with HP) and my husband has XP on a notebook. Both are 64 bits. We would like to upgrade both computers to Windows 7 Ultimate. Can we purchase just one family upgrade package and use on both computers or must we buy two separate packages?

There is no Ultimate family pack, you must purchase a license for PC you wish to install / upgrade.

It's no longer available, and you would need to buy two separate licenses. For your Windows 7 copy, just run the Anytime Upgrade from within Windows (do a search on the word anytime). You don't need to buy a DVD, which would be more expensive.Your husband, with Windows XP, has to buy the upgrade package, with the DVD. However, be aware that it is *not* possible to do an upgrade from XP to Windows 7. If he has Windows XP installed, he can save money by buying the Upgrade package, but he has to do a clean installation.-- Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP (Windows Desktop Experience) since 2003 Ken Blake
