Multiple Networks on Start Up
I was just curious to know why when Windows 7 starts up it always says there are multiple networks. I have installed the latest chip set driver for my 780i Striker II Formula and still the same result. Any ideas?

Hi, First, I would like to confirm the following questions: 1. How can we know there are multiply networks? Is there a notification when starting the computer or launching certain application? 2. Will the notification disappear after starting the computer?3. Is VMware or Virtual PC installed on the computer? 4. How many NICs are used on the computer, one or two? Based on my research, we can use the following steps to troubleshoot the issue. 1. Upgrade the firmware for NIC and the router. 2. Bypass the switch or router for a test. 3. Obtain IP address automatically. a. Click "Start", input "NCPA.CPL" (without quotation marks) and press Enter. b. Right click on the connection that you use for the local connection, and then click "Properties". c. Click to select "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)", and then click "Properties". d. Check "Obtain an IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically". e. Click "OK". 4. Turn off "Network Discovery" in other two network profiles a. Click Start and open Control Panel. b. Open "Network and Sharing Center" and click "Advanced sharing settings". c. Keep the current profile settings and expand other network profile, and then click "Turn off Network Discovery" option. For example: If current profile is "Home or Work", please expand "Public" profile and click "Turn off Network Discovery" option. Click "Save Changes" button and exit. Thanks, Novak
