Multiple Internet Problems in Windows XP
A few months ago, something happened with my computer. I'm not entirely sure, it's possible it was a virus--basically, everything just stopped working--but I ran the "system recovery" thing and just about everything came back fine. Unfortunately, I've been having some problems with my internet since then. (It's possible the crash is unrelated, of course.) I have three browsers installed on my computer: Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Chrome. Firefox and Chrome work fine most of the time, but occasionally I have problems with individual sites. IE doesn't work at all--I get a "the page cannot be displayed" error. This is fine, as Firefox is my preferred browser, but it's a bit worrisome. I also have problems with iTunes in that I can't access the iTunes store. When I try, I get a message that says, "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes store. Please check your network connection and try again." Finally, I downloaded Spybot today ( http://www.safer-networking.org/en/home/index.html ) and when I tried to install it, as its installation status changed to "Connecting to (a bunch of numbers)", an error message popped up that said, "Error sending request. A connection to the server could not be established". If anybody could help me resolve this, that would be fantastic. Thank you!1 person needs an answerI do too
