Multiple Displays through my receiver (Denon 989) - Extended Displays Keep switching and don't stick
I have Windows 7. I have a GTX 460 Graphix Card. I have computer monitor connected to DVI. I have a DVI/Hdmi cable to my receiver and receiver has an HDMI cable to the TV. When all Devices are turned on (TV, Reciever and Computer Monitor) everything is fine. I'm able to reassign control- switch displays etc.) As soon as a turn of my TV, my monitor that had the desktop flips back to extended (blank desktop) mode and leaves me trapped. I have to power on my devices to gain control and restore my settings. "Screen Resolution" screen will not assign my Computer Monitor as #1, it stays on #2 (yes, I can temporarily change it to main display) but it is depended on whether or not my other devices are powered or not. This is driving me insane!!! Please do not recommend that I use a HDMI cable directly from computer to my TV, I think this is unacceptable because I was able to use my receiver with my older system no problem. In the past with Windows xp and lower end Nvidia Card I was able to mix and match my displays and not have any conflict with extended view at all. Please advise.
