Multigram screenshot capture question.
I bought a gaming computer with W 7 Home Premium, with SP2, to run MS FS2004. I istalled Multigrab (& the required mwgfx.dll) to take screenshots of flight sim but it just takes pictures of the desktop. I've been told it's compatability issue. I've tried SnapShot & FSSrceen but they don't grab sim pictures either. I also have a Vista & a XPS machine with FS2004 & Multigrab work well. I hope someone can tell me what the problem is & a fix if possible. Thanks. When the c**p hit the fan, get a tent.

You will have to contact the publisher of the software for a fix: http://www.mnwright.btinternet.co.uk/ This is not a Microsoft product and according to an internet search it is not compatible with Windows 7. This software was published back in October 2006.Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Thanks Rick. How did you do your web search? When the c**p hit the fan, get a tent. I used Google. I searched for Multigrab and then read the information posted at the links. In the future, remember G.I.Y.F.! (Google Is Your Friend) I learned a long time ago to go to the source for problems with applications and drivers. If it's not a Microsoft product, then Microsoft cannot do anything to correct the problem. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Google certainly gives more results for a given search, but with their ever-growing Orwellian approach to things it would be nice to see more folks using Bing or yet another search engine. So, for me, its B.I.Y.F.! DAS

Thanks Rick....I emailed the guy on the readme 2 days ago but have no reply so far. I've not used another search engine....might give Bing a whirl. However, Darien Hwak is right - the Fraps readme does says it does screencapture.....I'll try that. When the c**p hit the fan, get a tent.

So, for me, its B.I.Y.F.! DAS And you are naive enough to think the Microsoft doesn't do the exact same thing with BING? Why do you think Microsoft started BING? Because they saw how lucrative it was for Google and they wanted part of the action!!!Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Apparently you've missed the google wireless rounter and AP mapping, the google street, the invasions of privacy with impunity, and of course their latest "unable to opt out" push for even more extreme invasion of privacy. Kind of interesting how you leap to the conclusion that anyone who doesn't worship at the altar of Google has to be naive. Interesting by way of the fact you chose to lash out. Have a nice day Rick. DAS What I really think is ironic is people claiming they are worried about someone invading their privacy and then turn around and post everything about their personal life, from when they get up and pee in the morning until they fall asleep at night, on the internet in places like Facebook! Yet their privacy is being infringed upon!!Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Interesting rant, but I don't have any accounts other than my ISP, Technet, and an Asus account where I assist other users, much like here. No facebook, no myspace, not even a youtube account. Youtube should be obvious, once the Google-beast took that over (along with seemingly everything else) I decided no way was I going to give those idiots any more hits. Seems I struck a nerve by mentioning Google is playing the part of big brother? This should have been nothing more that a passing interest to you, but so far I'm an idiot (sorry, naive), and I must be one of those terribly needy people that has facebook and all the rest, which was nothing more that projection on your part I'm sure. Let's just agree you don't know a damn thing about me and leave it at you are grasping at straws rather than back off your assertion I must be naive. Works for me. Have a nice day Rick. DAS

Terry, Sorry for getting off track, did FRAPs not work for you either? If FRAPs gives the same result as the other 3rd party tool then there must be something about the way FS uses video that makes capture difficult under Win7. I'm afraid I won't be able to be of assistance, the 2 people I know that use FS are still on vista and XP which you already said works fine. Edited to add: Some keyboards require F-Lock to be enabled in order for the Print Screen function to work. Have you tried a PrintScreen, toggle out of FS and paste the clipboard into Paint of another graphics editor? That's about all I've got since I don't have access to FS on Win7. Best of luck with it. Hi, Did this issue just occur when you run the FS2004? This issue may be caused by the compatibility of Multigrab. I recommend that you may run Multigrab in other compatibility mode such as Windows XP SP3 or Windows Vista. If it does not help, the only workaround is using other screenshot captures such as Fraps you mentioned. Following is a similar discussion can be referred to.
