Movie Maker works - YEA!
For those who are interested!I am now using Movie Maker 2.1 from Windows XP under Windows 7. I have done this because there is NO "capture function" in Windows Live Movie Maker. I am using Movie Maker with my 12 year old Sony webcam (Firewire).I zipped up the Movie Maker folder from Windows XP. I then unzipped it to C:\Program Files (x86)\Movie Maker. I then registered the .dll files in the Movie Maker folder. Three of the fileswmm2eres.dllwwm2res.dllwmm2res2.dllwould not register. It does not seem to affect the operation of Movie Maker 2.1. I am NOT using any compatibility mode settings.Yea! I know that it is not a part of the RC code but I need this to make movies of my grand children. That is more important to me than keeping the code pure!Have fun!Richard UrbanMicrosoft MVPWindows Desktop Experience
