Move my Windows Live Mail from C: to D:
Hi By default my Windows Live Mail folders location is C:\Users\Home\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail. My C: drive is getting dangerously full, and so want to move my Windows Live Mail to my D: partition. It looks like it would be too simple to just amend the path to point to D: and everything would just move over, so please could I be pointed to a procedure for doing this ? Looking in the C: location above, there is tons of other stuff which I would be reluctant to move manually in case something screws up. Many thanks, Mike.

Hey Mikey; This third party program: http://www.staticbackup.com/windows-live-mail-backup is an easy solution. I used it to move Windows live from one system to another perhaps it will work for your situation as well. The 20 day free trial version is fully functional so it can't hurt to try. Hope this helps you out Cheers Ron Caber

you create a folder in the location you wish to move the data store. then using Tools - Options - Advanced _ Maintenance - Store Folder and select the MOVE option. once you shut down WLM it will move the data base. when you run WLM again you can check at the same Maintenance option to see if it moved it. -- mikeyshd "Mikey Stevey" wrote in message news:65a85a94-b3a1-4372-8b62-4986af183c85@communitybridge.codeplex.com... I suggest if C: is full then its time for a new system disk I suggest 2 TB for BIOS based machines, bigger for UEFI rigs portables like my netbook can only use 750 GB as bigger disks are too thick at least until the next gen surfaces My page on Video Card Problems is now my most popular landing page.
