Hi everyone, I have had a my computer for around 3-4 years now and it has worked great. I'm an avid computer gamer and love to play games with my friends (CSGO, Gmod, etc.). Recently I have had this issue where at random times my keyboard and mouse will just stop working. It happens at the same exact time that the keyboard and mouse shut off. The light form my mouse is still on yet, It does not seem to be putting any input into the computer. As a gamer this comes to be a problem because I have been screamed at multiple times from my friends because I have to shut down my computer and turn it back on again JUST TO GET THEM TO WORK AGAIN. Afterwards I could be playing again and, low and behold, my keyboard and mouse shut off again. This has really become a problem because one time i was writing an essay and had not saved it yet. GUESS WHAT? Key board and mouse gone. I couldn't save my work and I had to re write 3 pages of hard thought out text. Thanks windows, I appreciate it :).

In addition if this issue occurred recently, please restore your system to earlier point for good measure. Visit your motherboard manufacturers update drivers, and BIOS versions. Try another mouse with the original keyboard check if this issue, if the issue still persists, try another keyboard with the original mouse, one device with bad compatibility might cause whole input/USB ports.
