Monitoring Windows User Session
Hi there is there any tools to monitor WIndows User session in Windows 7 Systems (to monitor if they are downloading any unwanted files while they are logged in), Please let me know...VT

The best way to do this is to have a GPO setting that doesn't allow them to install any program without admin credentials. and make all the user's power users and not local administrators. If you want something to keep track of software and other hardware on the machine look into SpiceWorks

Basically we need a end user group to have local admin access for to open applications (as they need admin rights in the local systems when opened by end users)... or else wouldnt give admin rights for their local systems. Do you know if solarwinds can do the trick? - to monitor end user sessions. Iam also looking in to Spiceworks as you have suggested.VT

I havent used solarwinds but it looks like spiceworks pretty much. Just spiceworks is free. dont know about solarwinds
