Monitoring Network Access
I'm involved in running a small volunteer Library where we provide free PC access through both wired (our own) PCs and wireless PCs (owned by users). We would like to force users of these machines (both wired and wireless) to enter their Library membership number before they can obtain access to the Internet. We would like to be able to record the start and end of the users sessions together with the IP addresses visited - we do not wish to record any content sent or received. Could anyone advice me on a cost effective way of doing this - our wired PCs all run Windows 7 Enterprise - of course we have no control over the Operating Systems of wifi attached systems. However we would initially settle for enforcing access controls for just our wired systems.Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64 Bit - Dell XPS420 6GB
