Monitor gets no signal after resuming Windows 7 Pro from hibernate or sleep
I just upgraded my OS from Windows Vista 64 bit to Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. When I was using Vista I would put my computer to sleep or in hibernate and occasionally, it would wake itself up from sleep or hibernate. Now with Windows 7 Pro, if I put my computer to sleep or tell it to hibernate, when I try to wake it up the computer will act like it is on and everything is working, but the monitor says it is getting no signal. The only way to get the monitor to work is to restart the computer by powering it off and then back on again. When I do this on restart it gives me the option to resume windows or delete restoration data or point. If I tell it to delete restoration data it goes through and checks the disk and I think OS for errors and then it will usually open to Windows, but somewhat slowly. If I tell it to resume windows, then the cursor just sits and blinks in the top left corner and no matter how long I wait it won't resume. Here are my system specs.: Dell XPS Desktop 435MT Radeon 3650, 256MB Core i7 (920, 2.66Ghz, Bloomfield) 6GB 1066Mhz RAM Proview PL2230WDB 22" monitor (VGA connection, I haven't been able to buy a DVI cable yet, but I am going to see if somehow that might make a difference). I have seen several posts and searched the internet, but couldn't find anything related to the EXACT problem I am having. I would like to get the sleep or hibernate option to work so I don't have to keep shutting my computer off all the time. If someone can help me resolve this problem I will be very grateful. Thanks in advance.

Click "Start", input "eventvwr" (without quotation marks) in the Start Search bar and press Enter. b. Right click on "Application" on the left frame, choose "Save Log file As"; in the pop-up window, click to choose the Desktop icon on the left frame, input "app" in the "File name" blank, and then click save. c. Right click on "System", with the same method, save it as "sys". d. Locate the two saved log files on the Desktop and upload them. Thanks, Novak
