Monitor

I have Windows 7 and recently did a Windows update. As soon as the update downloaded my
monitor screen became stretched and I cannot repair it. Nowhere can I find that my computer
recognizes my Dell monitor. I go into screen resolution and it says "default monitor". I go into
devices and my monitor, or for that fact, no monitor shows up there.

Download the video driver from the manufacture's site and install it. You can check Device Manager and see if it is the Standard VGA driver or if it is the manufacturer's driver. Open Device Manager and look under Display Adapters and make sure it is not
the Standard VGA driver.

Hi,

Firstly, please let us know the following:

1. What do you mean that your monitor screen becomes stretched? If possible, please post a screenshot here.
2. Please let us know what the update is.
3. Do you have multiple monitors?

Meanwhile, please reinstall the video driver from the manufacturer and see how it works.

Hope this helps.
