Modifying logon profile path using Credential Provider
I am looking at creating mandatory profiles on Windows 7 for our public access PCs, on XP we use a custom gina to redirect the profile path which is specified in a registry key on the local system. This allows us to have different profiles on different client types and have a single authentication domain. I understand that a great deal of this functionality is built into Group Policy settings however due to the way our staff roaming profiles are stored it has been necessary to use a custom gina to construct the path to the profile which is based on the users GUID not their username. So the question is, is it possible to write a credential provider to duplicate this functionality and if so any idea how?
