Modem issues
Hello, I have strange problem with my network settings which doesn't allow me using any dialup connections because of "Unavailable - device missing". It happens both to dialup connection for 3G USB modem as well as VPN connection. Symptomps I'm facing: "Phone and modem" control panel not starting up, WiFi as well as cable network works fine with one exception - DHCP client is unable to pick correct address, When adding manually new dialup connection - modems are not listed "not found". All modem devices are listed in device manager and they are ok Telephony service is up, Past couple of days i was struggling with lots of networking issues like firewall not starting, DHCP not starting, Network and sharing center not showing connections map, etc. Finally i found access problem when services were hitting registry, however problem with Dialup devices is still there. Please help, Dominik

Hi Dominik, Please refer to the following steps to configure the device. After creating the connection, right click the icon -> choose Properties -> On General Tab, please click Configure… -> please choose the right modern. If the modern still doesn't work, it is to say the device doesn't support for dial-up connection.
