When I run a full backup in Windows 7 backup program I get the following message alert:Backup encountered a problem while backing up file C:\Users\IUSR_NMPR\AppData\LocalLow. Error:(The system cannot find the file specified. (0x80070002))Backup encountered a problem while backing up file C:\Users\IUSR_NMPR\Contacts. Error:(The system cannot find the file specified. The IUSR_NMPR user profile is the key. This is an account that would have appeared to logon to the computer at some point. Perhaps this is an IIS related account as the IUSR designation often comes with the anonymous web site user account.Do you run a web server from IIS?

Hi lwewill,This forum is not for Windows backup issues. The appropriate forum is http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/windowsbackup/ Can you please check if the folders C:\Users\IUSR_NMPR\AppData\localrow, C:\Users\IUSR_NMPR\Contacts and C:\Users\IUSR_NMPR\Searches exist on your machine. The default windows backup configuration would have included them. You can change windows backup configuration and unselect these folders by following these steps: 1. Click on "Change settings". 2. Proceed with the same target. Then select select "let me choose". 3.From the Data Files section, you can exclude the IUSR_NMPR user completely. 4.Click next. Save settings and exit. Retry backup.ThanksAbhinav

I have a c:\ Users\IUSR_NMPR folder that contains the following files:NTUSERntuser.dat.LOG1ntuser.datLOG2NTUSER.DAT{6cced2f1-6e01-11de-8bed-001e0bcd1864}.TM.blfNTUSER.DAT{6cced2f1-6e01-11de-8bed-001e0bcd1864}.TMContainer00000000000000000001.regtrans-msNTUSER.DAT{6cced2f1-6e01-11de-8bed-001e0bce1864}.TMContainer00000000000000000002.regtrans.ms

I unchecked the IUSR_NMPR'S Libraries in the backup settings and ran backup again. It came out clean, no messages. Any further suggestions? Are the files in my last post necesssary?Lew

The account may be created by a program. It does not exist on our Windows 7 computers. You can delete this user profile. If you would like to know which program created this account, I suggest you enable user account management auditing. 1. Click Start. Enter gpedit.msc in the Start Search box. 2. Locate to Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\Audit Policy.3. Double-click on Audit account management. 4. Select both Success and Failure. 5. Restart. If your system is Windows 7 Home Premium, please enable it via Registry. 1. Enter regedit in the Start Search box. 2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\LSA 3. Right-click SCENoApplyLegacyAuditPolicy, and then click Modify.4. Type 1 in the Value data box, and then click OK. If this key does not exist, please manually create. 5. Restart the computer. When you find that this account was created, please access Event Viewer, check the Security log as soon as possible. Lets see if we can find some clues.Arthur Xie - MSFT

Your #3, I can't find (exclude files) on my Win7 backup. Selection is only uncheck DATA for newly created users. No way to EXCLUDE INDIVIDUAL FILES, also note that under "Let Me Choose" option, some other files (program, etc) are NOT backed up. If I delete the registry keys for this user (IUST_NMPR) Win7 backup completes OK, but the next time it backs up, the same error message shows (unable to BU this user's files, etc) and the registry profile keys are back. Under User Accounts, just me and the "guest" (Not activated) is shown. Then the MS 'flag" in lower r/corner tells me about the error message that I already know about but I can not individually delete that message either. Is there some type of permanent solution here that I am missing?Win7 32-bit Home Premium upgraded from Vista
