Missing files
I went to bed and left ' folding@home " running during the night. When I woke I looked in on the log file and there was only the entry for the current file. The whole history was gone. Yesterday trying to tweak a few things I had to run system restore and all the restore points were gone and there used to be about ten of them. In my event log there are a whole swath of events missing. Is this something to worry about???

Have you virus scanned in a while? Viruses like to delete the system restore points.... What were you tweaking? JoelbX's favorite threads | Computer tips | ----- | Contact me | 'Gadget' programs

You should probably install the free MS AV tool and do a scan. http://www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/Mark Morowczynski|MCT| MCSE 2003:Messaging, Security|MCITP:ES, SA,EA|MCTS:Windows Mobile Admin|Security+|http://almostdailytech.com

Hi Xoral, You also can check available space on your disk. It could be effect system restore points. Thanks.

It sseems that others are having sumilar problems with the dual boot Xp windows 7 sysstems the XP thinks that some of the files ( restore ) are shaddow copies and something to do with the drive letters. When I am on the xp drive it is 'C" and my windows 7 is " h" but when on windows 7 the same drive is "C' It is nothing to do with windows 7 it is XP that is deletiing the filess.
