Missing features in Windows 7 Professional
In both XP and Vista I can create a profile that contains the items that I want on the desktop, configure what I want set up in Control Panel and copy this profile to the Default profile. I cannot do this in Windows 7 Professional. You have removed that capability. I have tried setting up my profile, logging on as the administrator (yes I had to activate the administrator account in Windows 7 Professional just like you have to do in the home user versions!!! WHY is the administrator account disabled in Windows 7 Professional??? Wake up folks this is a business OS!!) and copying the contents of the profile to the Default profile but this does not work! Until I can get a fix for this problem I can't even test your WAIK to see how bad it's going to mess with my image when I try to duplicate it to other computers. Next, why can I not "Change the way users log on" in Windows 7 Professional???? Yes, I know that it will be there after I put it on the domain but I have to find a fix for the first problem before I can go forward with my image!Someone in your group needs to come out into the REAL world, yes it really does exist, and see how little things like this become major reasons for business users NOT TO BUY YOUR SOFTWARE! DUH!!!!!!!!!! XP still works and if I cannot get these stupid mistakes fixed in Windows 7 Professional the Missouri Department of Corrections probably will not want to purchase 6000+ CALS of Windows 7 Professional......Not a big deal for you is it!!!!, it is a big deal for people who really use the software!Ted McCarty, ted.mccarty@oa.mo.gov573-480-0577
