Missing Tabs in Drives' Properties
I have two desktop machines, each running XP Pro SP3 (a generic version and an OEM version). With the OEM version of XP Pro SP3, when I go to a either hard drive's properties, I only get three tabs ("General" "Tools" "Hardware"), and "AutoPlay" in the case of the external drive. When I go to my hard drive's properties on the other machine, with the generic copy of XP Pro SP3 (no "Home" versions on any machine), I get another three tabs, "Sharing" "Security" and "Quota". The situation is similar with my optical dirves; With the OEM version, I don't get a "Recording" tab or one other (perhaps "Sharing") that I get when I go to the properties of a CD or DVD burner on the machine with the generic verison of XP Pro. Does anyone know of a Windows configuration setting that could cause this situation? I'm comfortable with XP Pro and would rather correct this than start over, but if I have to re-install Windows I guess I'll get a copy of Windows 7. TIA.Mark 1 person needs an answerI do too
