Missing Mapped Net Drive in drop down menu
I have a computer called server running windows xp professional sp2 which contains a corel paradox database. I have a laptop running Windows 7 Profesional with drive S: mapped to a folder called "c" on the windows XP computer. This laptop has no issues. I recently bought a PC running Windows 7 on which I have also mapped the S: drive to the "c" folder in the XP Computer and everytime I log off or restart the computer the application can't run as it can find the S Drive. I have checked using net use and the drive seems to be connected. The only way of making this work is if I go to the ODBC Data Source Administrator Manager and just reset in the User DSN the Net Directory for the Paradox Database. This works every time. The odd thing is that I am not using SQL or the ODBC Driver. Once this is reset the application works with no problems, until the machine is restarted or user logs off. I have checked Credentials Manager, and this seems to be the only difference between both machines. My laptop, which works ok, has a Generic Credential TERMSRV/server User Name: SERVER\admin and persistence : Local Machine. The pc that doen't works has none. I have tried powershell sripts to connect the drive and still no luck. I am sure there is a fix as my laptop is working well. Any help will be most appreciated. Joe

Hi, Can you access this shared folder when this issue occurs? Also, I suggest you to disable SMBv2 for a test. Note: please disable both sides firewall. Please remember to click “Mark as Answer” on the post that helps you, and to click “Unmark as Answer” if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread. ”
