Missing *my* wireless router... Can see everyone elses.
Ok, so I installed the Windows 7 beta... Download all the drivers fine and everything seems to work using an ethernet connection. Unplug the wired connection and go to search for my WIFI and use it... Strange.... I see about 10 of my neighbors networks, but not mine. So, I check the usual things on my router.. make sure it's not dead, SSID is correct and broadcasting, WEP (sorry, have a DS cant do WPA) keys are good... WTF? I go over to my Vista laptop and scan for networks, sees mine and connects just fine... So, I try manually adding it on the W7 laptop... Still won't connect. I am using an Acer Aspire 6530 w/an Atheros WIFI built in. Running the 7 Beta from MSDN right now, but upgrading to RC soon.

If you cannot find a working driver for your wireless device after you try the RC, and Vista compatibility mode fails, you should post your info to the 'comments' thread. You can add your experience, to help the dev team identify problem devices.Have Comments about Windows 7 RC (Do not post questions here).url: Rating posts helps other users Mark L. Ferguson MS-MVP
