Minimizing modal dialog behavior different on XP and Vista/W7
In XP, when you minimize a modal dialog (with a minimize box), its parent is still visible. In Vista/W7, the parent is also minimized (makes sense). Where is this important change documented?! Also, what is the motivation for the change? To reproduce, simply create an MFC project and set the About Box "Minimize Box" property to true. Then fire up the about box and click its minimize button.

Hi, Does this issue only occur in MFC project? If so, I think you could post to Visual C++ MSDN forum. But I think this should be related to the personal habits. Windows 7 is trying to improve the users’ experience as much as possible. But no one is perfect, it may slightly affect the senior user of Windows old version. And Windows 7 is constantly adjusting. I hope you could adapt to it slowly. You could compare Windows 7 with the old versions: Compare Windows 7 Windows Vista Windows XP Features Offers Upgrades And thanks for using Windows 7.
