Migrating files to make more space for Windows Backup destination
Windows Backup in Win7 is working really well for me, but I find that even a 1 Tbyte disk is too small to handle the files produced by Windows Backup when it is used to backup a 1 Tbyte system drive. I'd say this is primarily because the Windows Image backup and the File backup locations need to be on the same drive. Question 1- is it possible to place these two output folders on different drives? Question 2- Is it possible to move "Backup Set" folders from the file backup destination folder to offline storage instead of using the delete function in the GUI? I'd like to be able to still use these moved backup sets in some way, either by having the "Previous Versions" property panel find them, or at worst, manually unzip them. Any suggestions?

Hi Richard, Regarding your questions: 1. We can place file backup and System Image backup separately. When configuring the backup settings, please uncheck Include a system image of drivers option and only choose the Windows files to back up first. After that, please click Change Settings, choose another location and only check the system image option. After that, please click Back up now. It will back up the System Image to another location. 2. Regarding the Backup Set, we cannot move them simply in the GUI. It will affect the restore issue.
