When user is moving from windows xp to windows 7 Virtual desktop what should be the strategy to take care of roaming profile + folder redirection data and settings? Thanks in advance. Regards,

Hi, I am thinking on the below approach: 1. Configure 'Redirect the folder back to the local userprofile location when policy is removed' in GP. Remove the folder redirection policy 2. convert domain roaming profile for the user to 'local profile' on windows xp machine 3. use USMT tool to migrate windows xp user profile to windows 7 profile, This will convert v1 to .v2 version 4. create VDI profile for the user 5. Enable roaming for the user and then apply folder redirection. Any suggestions if this strategy should work. I know its a lengthy process but don't see any easy way here for moving the user from win xp with there profiles to VDI environment. Regards,
