Microsoft office (2007) tools stop responding
hi, my system runs on windows 7 and the other systems in the network are running xp . When i try to open files directly from the explorer or from KDOC (application). I get an error message stating the Microsoft Office 2007 (word/excel...) has stopped responding or working. But if i copy the file to my system, then it opens just fine. pl provide a solution to this issue.

You have landed in wrong forum. Microsoft Office in more appropriate. Office programs are creating temporary file. If temporary file is not created locally, you need write rights where you save temporary file. support.microsoft.com/kb/211632 support.microsoft.com/kb/827099 support.microsoft.com/kb/316951 Regards Milos

Hi, Pay attention to the rights of the drive where your files are located. Generally speaking, open files from explorer is no different from system. May I know the system you mentioned is in which drive? Do you mean that it is fine if you open files from C drive?Ivan-Liu TechNet Community Support
