Well here's the deal, I can't open my Group policy thingie:gpedit.msc because it's still under the old database? I get a huge Error Box that says something like this: "The Group Setting That Apply To This Machine could not be determined. The error returned when trying to retrieve these settings from the Local Security Policy Database (%windir%\security\database\secedit.sdb) was the Parameter is incorrect." Ok, I understand what it is saying because we use gpedit.msc now, so wouldn't we change the path to a database for gpedit.msc? So far I haven't been able to find it. But if I continue to just ignore (it's like an idiot light in the car) then eventually my whole computer performance degrades and my computer crashes. So do ya'll have any ideas, do you know how to change the path etc. or do I? Scary! LOL! Thank you! Sleeper I don't know if I'm in the right area, but I wanted to find out if anyone here has this make of this computer in the Title? And if they are having constant problems with it?

Lots of my clients have HP Pavilions running XP MCE. Of course, HP makes/made lots of different models in the Pavilion line.
