Microsoft Windows Mobile Remote Adapter -from windows update Install  failed - Where can I find this so I can retry to re-install - mobile device does not connect
Hi,Are you running Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1?If not I would advise downloading it from Microsoft, Here and installing it, making sure your device is not plugged in yet. During the install it will install a new device (even if you machine is not plugged in). Once finished, plug your device in and wait for Windows to install the device drivers and run Device Center, set up your device then sync & exit. You should now be able to successfully download updates for that device driver. I had the same issue in Vista untill I got v6.1 :)Hope it helps :)JeffIf anyone is helpfull, please click the 'Vote as helpfull' icon. Your best option may be to open device manager (with device connected) and uninstall any related device, making sure the 'Delete driver software for this device' is checked.Once you have done this, unplug your device, uninstall WMDC 6.1 and reboot your machine. Then follow the instruction on my first reply, this should sort it for you.If anyone is helpfull, please click the 'Vote as helpfull' icon.
