Microsoft Security Essentials Window keeps popping up on my Desktop
This morning, I went ahead and installed MSE, ran the update and did a Quick Scan... it didn't find any wormies which was cool Now, this after noon, every so often (minute or two), the following window keeps popping out but it doesn't let me know why or what I need to do or go from there. If this is because it has found something, fine but if I have no clue on what to do next... what good is this advise for? Hmmm, well, perhaps I didn't state that I wasn't a PC guru but I did state that I had already done a Quick Scan after setting it and installing it. Besides, the scan is set or scheduled to start at 2 A.M and not PM and since I already did one, I thought it wasn't going to do another one until the Upcoming Monday. I have already reverted to my previous AV/AS and uninstalled this one. I also did it because it was not able to catch a trojan that came in through my e-mail. You know one of those e-mails you get from contacts inviting you to things like Facebook and similar and as soon as you register, it gets a hold of your contacts and inmediately starts sending invites to your friends? I have heard of similar situation but I have never been at risk until today. Nonetheless, I am still here because if this can help others in a similar situation, it will also help Microsoft make it better... at least, I hope so.
